Greenville, North Carolina, Job Duties: 30% Communications and graphic design creation for association needs to provide message consistency and adhering to branding and style standards of ECU and the association. Provide additional communications support for alumni chapters, campaigns/initiatives, and low-level website management. Assists with oversight of association’s marketing and digital engagement projects and timelines. Collaboratively produce targeted social-media optimized videos to support association’s efforts 10% Assist with association’s stewardship efforts for stakeholder segments (i.e., alumni, recent alumni, students, donors, etc.) through general marketing and communication strategies. Build and send targeted email campaigns using established templates to reach designated segments to promote engagement opportunities, solicit financial gifts, build relationships, and share news from the association and university. Report results and recommend changes for future campaigns or follow-up strategies. 30% Assist with management of alumni association digital engagement efforts, building and cultivating a sustainable group of online ambassadors. Assist association’s alumni engagement team with monitoring and management of regional chapters’ social media channels to maximize communication messaging. Fully responsible for management of ECU Connect and Social Pirate platform with focused responsibility to grow specific platforms’ audience, reach, and engagement. Collaborate with association team and campus partners to leverage their knowledge of and adaption of those platforms. Assist with engagement efforts through association social media platforms, website, and other emerging social media and digital platforms to increase alumni association presence online. Monitor and maintain association’s engagement with users and influencers across channels. Manage and update user lists on sites, sharing reports with university partners in a timely manner. 15% Provide support in harnessing the power of creative story-telling to capture and reshare captivating accounts of ECU alumni across multiple channels. This could include writing content, video production, designing collateral and creating copy for print, digital and social media distribution. 10% Oversee and manage the Class Notes, State Map and Newsletter Update submissions. Responsible for timely update of Class Notes page on website and communicating significant alum news with potential to be shared to appropriate departments and contacts. Manage all alumni Newsletter Updates, ensuring alumni info is forwarded for ONE management, and maintaining email list of non-alumni to receive communication. Utilizing release of latest data, responsible for monthly update of State Map on website. 5% Administrative duties to include, but not limited to maintaining departmental files, data entry into ONE to accurately capture alumni information, data list requests and review, monitor expenses and budgets that are position specific. The East Carolina Alumni Association was created to develop a spirit of cooperation and loyalty among alumni and to promote the general welfare of the institution. The scope of the association, which was organized by the classes of 1911 and 1912 in June 1912, has grown tremendously as the alumni population has multiplied with a growing ECU . To keep pace with a rapidly developing university, the Alumni Association was incorporated as a 501©3 nonprofit organization in 1967. Since that time the alumni population has increased from 15,000 to more than 190,000.
