Under general direction, the Compensation Analyst II ensures employee compensation is equitable, fair and competitive through analysis of internal and external data in order to attract, motivate, engage and retain the right talent. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Strategizes, recommends and implements retail/store compensation programs in collaboration with compensation team and business objectives. Creates and maintains retail/ store regional salary ranges. Provides market pricing, cost of living and local market conditions/competitor analysis. Identifies issues and makes recommendations. Maintains a consistent retail/ store pricing model nation-wide. Maintains compensation guidelines, procedures and reporting; ensures the Company is in compliance with current regulations. Performs FLSA, minimum wage and headcount audits; analyzes and recommends changes. Manages the nationwide minimum wage change process including, impact analysis, communications, administrative (HRIS) support and ensuring updated minimum wage posters are delivered. Creates, updates and evaluates new and existing job descriptions in collaboration with stakeholders. Provides guidance and consultation to management in designing job families, creating job levels and revising job descriptions; determines FLSA status of new and re-evaluated jobs. Maintains compensation guidelines, procedures and reporting; ensures the Company is in compliance with current regulations. Performs FLSA, minimum wage and headcount audits; analyzes and recommends changes. Performs internal and external compensation analysis using third party market data to support design, implementation, administration and competitiveness of Company compensation program. Analyzes and identifies financial impact of proposed compensation programs, salary ranges and restructures. Maintains and ensures salary ranges and job descriptions are accurate and updated. Provides salary recommendations for job changes, including promotions, transfers, job reclassifications, etc. Administers compensation budgets (salary/ merit). Tracks compensation changes and updates budget spreadsheets with year to date spend. Researches and analyzes current compensation trends to assist the organization in compensation decisions. Communicates and / or train managers regarding business compensation philosophy, structure, planning and practice in collaboration with Sr Compensation Analyst. Participates in the development of compensation training content. Provides coaching to Managers and employees pertaining to compensation procedures and requirements. Stays current on the latest industry technologies, trends and strategies. Assists employees, vendors or other customers by answering questions related to compensation processes, procedures and services. Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of three years progressive Compensation experience. Human Resources Generalist experience preferred. Experience utilizing, analyzing and interpreting salary surveys is required. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Ability to perform advanced functions in excel, such as V-lookups, pivot tables, conditional statements and formulas is required. Experience with Workday (HRIS) is preferred. Proven analytical skills are required. This position requires excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to write in a clear and concise manner. Ability to identify problems, review information to develop and evaluate options then recommend and implement solutions is essential. Ability to work independently and in a team is vital. The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently is essential. Ability to gather data, analyze situations and make decisions is necessary. Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to compensation is required. Must possess strong organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Customer service skills including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude is essential. Ability to build productive relationships with managers and produce results is necessary. Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key. Educational Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics or Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience. Work Days: Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary. Work Hours: Normal work hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
