Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Digital Designer to play a crucial role in supporting the ongoing digital transformation of our organization. This role will report into Web team within University Communications and Marketing. This role will be at the forefront of our efforts to elevate our paid digital media initiatives by crafting captivating and effective digital designs that align with standard processes and resonate with our target audience. Your expertise will drive the evolution of our digital presence, enabling us to deliver compelling content and messages through various digital channels! Your core responsibilities include: Collaborate closely with the marketing and creative teams to conceptualize and design original digital advertisements that adhere to the organization’s branding guidelines and objectives. Create visually appealing and impactful designs for native and display digital media, including banners, social media ads, landing pages, email templates, and more. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design standards, and emerging digital media technologies to ensure that our digital designs remain innovative and effective. Translate concepts and ideas into engaging visual designs that effectively communicate our messages and drive desired actions from the audience. Develop and maintain a library of digital design templates that can be applied across various campaigns and initiatives, ensuring a consistent and professional visual identity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including copywriters, marketing managers, and digital strategists, to ensure alignment between design and content. Provide creative input and insights during brainstorming sessions and design reviews, contributing to the creative direction of projects. Optimize designs for various digital platforms and devices to ensure a seamless user experience. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality design standards. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline design processes to enhance efficiency and output quality. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in digital design, specifically within the realm of advertising for native and display digital media. Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of digital design projects, demonstrating your ability to create compelling visual solutions that drive engagement and conversion. Solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and the ability to apply them to digital design projects. Creative flair and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to balance creativity with strategic objectives. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to cross-functional teams. Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with animation and motion graphics for digital media. Experience with data visualization Familiarity with A/B testing and performance analytics related to digital designs. Knowledge of HTML and CSS for basic front-end coding adjustments. Understanding of SEO principles and their impact on digital design. Experience in working within or alongside marketing teams in educational or campus environments.
