Park Ridge, IL, POSITION SUMMARY: Manages, creates and implements digital media strategies that drive new customer acquisition and retention. Helps develop, maintain and execute digital marketing campaigns across all channels including website, email, online advertising, and paid social media. Manages direct reports (currently one team member) and helps provide oversight on external resources (as needed) for email marketing and online advertising. The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) is a global association for occupational safety and health professionals looking for a results-driven digital (email) marketing manager who is a self-motivated and a positive team player. The position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. We are headquartered in Park Ridge, Illinois. This role is eligible to work remote.   POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include but are not limited to: Manages all aspects of outbound email marketing, including CAN-SPAM/GDPR/CASL/CCPA requirements, opt-out procedures, email platform management, scheduling optimization, testing/reporting/analysis, and list hygiene. Strategizes and creates marketing automation (segmentation, nurture drips, lead scoring, A/B testing and behavior tracking). Partners closely with web and IT teams to deliver best-in-class user experiences for members and customers. Develops and maintains SEO strategy and execution. Provides SEO recommendations to stakeholders as needed. Conducts online advertising campaigns, including targeting, remarketing, segmentation, content strategy and testing. Oversee external display advertising work of digital advertising specialist, which includes planning and execution, monitoring, reporting and analysis. Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders on current products, goals and marketing campaigns. Manages digital marketing budget, including software, tools and paid media spend. Identifies new and emerging technologies and capabilities and continually evaluates the marketing tech stack for optimization opportunities. Develops and tracks all digital campaign KPIs, providing both real-time results and regular reporting and actionable insights on trends. Performs other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises and coaches the Digital Advertising Specialist.  CLASSIFICATION: Full-time Exempt (Salaried) position   POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field. At least five (5) years of digital marketing experience with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. Deep understanding of digital marketing and ecommerce best practices Positive interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the desire to be part of a dynamic team and help foster an inclusive work environment that provides opportunities for growth, contribution and teamwork. Strong experience with email, SEO, social media and ad serving systems Knowledge of marketing funnel best practices Experience testing and analyzing campaign performance and customer conversion Strong written and verbal communication skills; confidence in presenting ideas, educating the team on digital marketing best practices and building consensus Strong project management, strategic, analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Google marketing tools (analytics, ads, search console, tag manager), MS Office Suite and basic web design (HTML, CSS) to generate and optimize email templates and online ads Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying ahead of trends in the digital space and sharing findings with internal stakeholders CRM experience a plus Commitment to ASSP’s CLEAR (Collaborate, Learn, Excel, Accountable, Respectful) values.
