USA – MA – Boston, Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Marketing and Creative Services in the Office for External Education at Harvard Medical School, the Digital Marketing Coordinator works across the marketing team to support the planning and execution of marketing strategies and tactics for master’s, certificate, continuing, and executive education programs. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will support the web and social media strategies for the Postgraduate Medical Education and Executive Education units. This individual will help execute upon marketing plans, collaborate on the creation of marketing materials and implement campaigns. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will assist the Associate Director of Digital Marketing and a team of Program Marketing Managers. He/she will also work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues across the Office for External Education. The ideal candidate will have experience with website management, content and social media strategy, analytics, marketing tactics, tools and technologies, and will also be willing and able to think creatively and propose out-of-the-box ideas. The candidate should be comfortable working closely and collaboratively in a small, dynamic team. Typical duties: Support the program marketing team in executing marketing campaigns including web, SEO/SEM, email, and social and paid media Optimize two unit microsites, adding and updating content and page design in Drupal, creating new pages and implementing new features as needed Execute the marketing team’s social media strategy, including creating, planning, and maintaining social posts and channels; ensuring a consistent voice, look, and brand across all assets created for social media Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing and synthesizing disparate data sources. Plan information sessions and other events by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements Provide frontline support with prospect engagement Work within Salesforce and Marketing Cloud to execute marketing efforts including editing and drafting email marketing copy Serve as a liaison between Marketing and Admissions through communications and information sharing Work cross functionally with Education, Operations, Logistics, Faculty, Admissions and Business Development teams Work with Harvard Medical School IT on updates to the websites Perform market research activities, as assigned Manage central email box to engage prospective learners Suggest and evaluate new marketing approaches Administrative and support tasks for marketing team as needed This Staff role may start as a remote position due to the COVID-19 pandemic and while restrictions are still in place. The current remote nature of this role is considered temporary and may change as the University continues to evaluate options. While we continue to monitor the evolving COVID-19 guidelines, local on-campus work may be expected for some roles. Harvard Medical School does support flexible schedules, subject to individual departments’ business needs. Harvard requires COVID vaccination for all Harvard community members. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. The successful candidates will have some knowledge and familiarity with traditional and emerging marketing channels; at least some knowledge of digital and multichannel marketing; excellent professional communication skills; ability to think creatively and innovatively; ability to follow processes but also adapt nimbly to the changing needs and priorities of an entrepreneurial team. The position requires analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Experience with Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Google Adwords, Adobe Creative Suite, social media marketing, website content management systems (Drupal preferred), Zoom meetings and/or website analytics tools is a plus. Experience with web, SEO/SEM, email and social media campaigns.
