SPARGO is looking for a creative and results-driven digital marketing expert to join our meetings team. This newly-created position will serve as a Digital Marketing Manager and lead us in showcasing and promoting the value of attendance at various meetings and events through a broad range of promotions and campaign initiatives. As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will have ownership over developing and executing the overall digital marketing strategy, and will plan, manage, and execute across all digital marketing channels including web, social, paid advertising, and outbound emails. Ultimately, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients achieve growth in attendance and engagement at their meetings and events by generating buzz and helping convert qualified leads to event participants. You’ll be successful in this role if you are highly innovative, proactive, and bring strong analytical skills to support data-driven decisions. You should be capable of working independently and as part of a team, as well as excited to tackle complex initiatives in the face of ambiguity or limited direction. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. About You No two days are alike at SPARGO. On any given day you might: Draft marketing strategies and tactics across search, video, outbound email, social, and more with a proven track record of hitting CPA, CDC, and KPI targets. Work closely with logistics and education staff to develop marketing content and strategies for event attendee acquisition and retention. Lead creative and copy development including writing copy, developing video storyboards/scripts, overseeing stakeholder review, and coordinating all assets with internal and external partners. Manage Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube/Vimeo accounts for assigned events as needed. Compile and measure results of campaigns, and provide recommendations and suggestions for future improvements. Develop and maintain CRM database, process documentation, A/B tests, and promotions that exceed goals. Monitor competitive events across platforms, developing best practices and recommendations for future improvements. Travel on behalf of SPARGO as required to manage onsite marketing activities during assigned events. Perform other duties as assigned. The Basic Qualifications Of course, you’re awesome! So much so we’re excited to see what you’ll bring to the team: Expertise with using marketing automation software (e.g., Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot). Experience with Facebook Business Suite, social media scheduling software (e.g., Later.com), and customer insight and engagement analytical tools (e.g., Audiense.com). Knowledge of and experience with ad retargeting, paid social, marketing funnels, and other tactics. Strong copywriting skills for email campaigns, websites, and social. Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis. Strong attention to detail for project management timelines, creative assets, and logistics. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential with a focus on the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others; the capacity to handle competing tasks in a fast-paced environment; the aptitude to effectively monitor and report on deliverables; and the ability to remain positive and productive in demanding situations. Demonstrated tact and diplomacy skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally with clients and vendors. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related program and 3-4 experiences of marketing experience. How to Stand Out We love rockstars. Familiarity with medical meetings. Experience producing video content, although direct video editing skills are not required. HubSpot certifications in Email Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, or Inbound Marketing. Familiarity with web design and HTML. But you’ll get the thrill of seeing all your hard work brought to life during our client’s meetings and events. During the execution of meetings, early morning and evening hours, as well as weekends, may be required but trust us, the time flies. You’ll specifically oversee on-site social posts, outbound emails, and work closely with our internal and external logistical partners to gather and produce compelling content that can be repurposed across multiple platforms. Telework Policy: This position is expected to report to our office in Fairfax, VA Monday through Wednesday each week.
