The Marketing & Communications team (M&C) leads marketing strategy for the School, and supports dozens of marketing or communications staff in other departments. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about websites, digital content management, marketing platforms, and SEO. Supporting the Director of Digital Marketing Strategy, this newly created role will provide internal clients with expertise on how to build and manage successful websites. Client websites include academic programs, research, Schoolwide initiatives, and faculty projects. The ideal candidate will love working with people and solving problems. The person in this role will manage multiple marketing platforms, any related technology integrations, and offer one-on-one technical support for tools during business hours. This role will be hands-on to establish new process and best practice as we transition to a new brand identity, new web design system, and new content management systems. Taking direction from our design team, IT, and the website owners, you will help optimize site experience while making sure content meets HBS brand standards. Work with the Director, Digital Marketing Strategy to shape the marketing technology roadmap. Work with the Assistant Director, Marketing Analytics to make data driven decisions and conduct A/B Testing. Act as project manager for SEO and related website updates. Create new websites and pages using CMS templates and modules. Train new users to edit website content and leverage existing templates and modules. Manage platform account settings and user account permissions. Guide IT in implementation of various technology integrations. Respond to client questions and be helpful troubleshooting technical issues. Create webforms for newsletter signup pages and subscription management. Responsible for other duties as assigned. This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus 2-3 days per week. Specific days and schedules will be determined between you and your manager. Other CMS experience is a plus. Proficiency in HTML and CSS required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. PHP, JavaScript, or Python skills are a plus. Familiarity with web hosting solutions (Pantheon, WPengine, Amazon). Experience managing SEO measurement platforms and Google Search Console. Demonstrated successes in improving SEO performance and website user experience. Experience managing information architecture for large amounts of content. Ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities. Ability to provide superior client service, while projecting positivity and confidence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
