Evanston, Illinois, Department: Kellogg Marketing & Creative Services Salary/Grade: EXS/6 Job Summary: The Digital Specialist – Social and SEO will coordinate all social and SEO functions for the Kellogg School of Management’s marketing and communication team.  Their daily responsibilities for managing social media presence include community management, reporting, and owning the publishing calendar. In addition, the Digital Specialist will coordinate with SEO partners and internal teams to continually optimize and maintain Website SEO fundamentals. This candidate will have excellent organizational skills and accountability to deliver publishing and project calendars. **Please Note: Evening and weekend hours are occasionally necessary when workload or event coverage requires it. Specific Responsibilities : Social Media Management Coordinate with Communications and Content teams on creation of social media posts tailored for the unique features and limitations of each social platform. Research and understand the latest social media platform updates and changes in and identify ways to leverage trends for new content opportunities. Populate and maintain a monthly social media calendar with upcoming and published social content opportunities.  Schedule, tag, and publish all final content. Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels. Community Management Manage all of Kellogg’s social media communities (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube), proactively engaging with our audience and replying to questions/comments as appropriate. Identify and flag potentially harmful comments. Social Media and SEO Reporting Responsible for preparing a regular cadence of reports on a weekly, monthly, and as needed basis. Prepare a report on relevant engagement opportunities and a summary of trending social topics. Weekly: Monitor performance metrics and develop a cadence of regular reporting of SEO and social results. Monthly: Prepare a report on Kellogg competitors’ social media. As Needed: Prepare reports on trending social conversations and news stories that are relevant to Kellogg.  Monitor and report on Kellogg mentions associated with key initiatives and/or news items. SEO Optimization : Work with SEO agency to understand and set SEO optimization strategies that increase the company’s search engine results rankings. Coordinate SEO calendar and projects from inception to delivery. Research SEO keywords to use throughout the company’s website and marketing materials. Advise content creators, Web development, and technical teams on SEO best practices. Other Responsibilities: Occasionally attend and capture content from Kellogg events  Monthly, export and organize organic post data from social media platforms Minimum Qualifications: BS or MS in Marketing Communications or a related field 5 years’ work experience in digital marketing and/or content creation Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs Familiarity with Social Media tools such as Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Later Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
