PA, The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining key marketing and communications channels on behalf of the College, with the goal of increasing the College’s visibility with a number of key constituencies. The role places specific emphasis on support for graduate student recruiting; in this aspect, the incumbent will partner closely with the college’s Graduate Program Recruiter to drive awareness (“top of funnel”) and to ensure systematic and seamless transfer of prospect leads to Graduate Program Recruiter (“middle/bottom of funnel.”) The successful incumbent will be a creative and ‘terminally online’ communications pro with proven skills and experience in digital/social outreach and Web support. The incumbent will be a member of the College’s Marketing and Communications team, and will support the team’s efforts in digital visibility and promotion for all aspects of college marketing operations and outreach. The incumbent will primarily use the marketing content (online articles, videos, etc.) created by other members of the team as the basis for digital outreach, among other duties. The person selected to the role will be detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism in the digital environment. They will also demonstrate competency in social channels, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, with familiarity in secondary and emerging platforms (TikTok, Reddit, Discord.) DIGITAL RECRUITING *Develop, improve and maintain audience-aware digital outreach tactics in support of the College’s outreach and student recruiting strategy *Manage, coordinate and continuously improve digital advertising (google, LinkedIn, etc.) to drive prospective students *Ensure timely follow up to all inquiries and leads acquired through web and social outreach *Assess and manage the use of Web tools to develop leads, including Halda, Calendly, etc. *Develop and refresh email marketing content and approach (pardot) *Transform weekly Rossin Connection newsletter into marketing content for recruiting outreach 2. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT *Partner with Assistant Director of Communications to grow the College’s social media presence and visibility with key constituent audiences *Distill news and research articles, videos and other content into clear, properly formatted social media posts with relevant hashtags and mentions to drive engagement *Create and manage social media calendars, schedule and disseminate posts using Hootsuite, TweetDeck, or similar tools *Use basic graphic design and photo editing skills (Canva or similar tools) to create dynamic and visual social media posts 3. WEB SUPPORT *Partner with Assistant Director of Digital Marketing to ensure high quality user experience across the Rossin College Web environment *Assist in day to day support of college, department and program web content updates *Support Web maintenance activities (broken links, 404s, slow loading pages, etc.) *Coordinate with faculty members to support profile page updates *Offer assistance in web creation and support for individual faculty and lab group web sites *Provide digital support for college events (Undergraduate Research Symposium, CHOICES, Rossin Awards, Summer Engineering Institute, etc.) Grade: 8 – 40 Position Number: S86210 Special Considerations The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by the supervisor This position is funded by soft dollars Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience One to three years related work experience Deep understanding of Internet-based communications and experience managing professionally focused social accounts Experience in web content management systems (drupal or similar) email marketing platforms (ConstantContact or similar) and digital content management and creation tools (Canva, Hootsuite, etc.) Experience in managing the creation, delivery and analysis of digital advertising campaigns Excellent computer skills, including standard desktop applications, google’s digital marketing environment, etc. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management and sound judgment Solid analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position All Lehigh faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated and receive a booster shot six months after their second vaccine; unless they receive an approved medical or religious exemption from the requirement.
