San Antonio, Texas, This position is for a Digital Media and Marketing Graduate Assistantship at St. Mary’s University.  St. Mary’s University Athletics is a NCAA Division II program that has 12 competing men’s and women’s sports as well as a varsity esports team that competes in the NACE.  The Graduate Assistant for Digital Media and Marketing works under the supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Representing St. Mary’s University
Sports marketing and in-game promotion initiatives aimed at increasing fan attendance
Social media maintenance
Video and graphical production
Assisting with the maintenance of RattlerAthletics.com
Writing press releases
Game-day event management
Compiling statistics
Supervision of the student assistant staff, including Athletic Department interns and video production volunteers
Assisting with other special projects and facilities needs
Ability to work 20-25 hours per week, plus all home athletic events
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must possess:

Bachelor’s degree and admission into a St. Mary’s University graduate program
Previous graphical work with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, in addition to a statistical familiarity with StatCrew and/or NCAA LiveStats, is preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to report and track analytics
Good interpersonal communication skills, writing skills and knowledge of AP styles
Understanding of basic marketing principles, and up-to-date outlook of digital media and social media trends
Previous experience in a sports information office and/or broadcasting experience also a plus, but not required
Ability to multitask and handle game-day operations

Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, balance, and work at a desk, to include pushing and pulling cabinet drawers. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues. Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, broadcasting equipment, and telephone. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/and coordination. Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke and an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.

-Stipend: $3,000 for 10 months (August 2023 – May 2024) ($1,500 per semester). Position can be renewed for a second year if successful candidate meets or exceeds expectations during 2023-2024 academic year.
-Credit Hours: 18 hours of graduate classes per year (nine per semester)
