Job Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President for Enrollment & Student Development, the Director of Marketing & Digital Communication is responsible for the design, creation, coordination, development and maintenance of content for the University’s online communication and print collateral that support, promote and enhance the overall mission, brand and image of Bushnell University.
As an enrollment officer and member of the Enrollment & Student Development Core Leadership Team, the Director of Marketing & Digital Communication supports the Vice President for Enrollment & Student Development and the Dean of Admission with university, divisional, and departmental strategic goals in an effort to grow enrollment and better tell the Bushnell story.
Position Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as University administrator and coordinator for the University website properties, including content, design and functionality; and social media sites; ensure that all aspects of the University website are current, well designed, and properly maintained.
Plan, produce, and coordinate web and social media content including production management activities, writing, illustrating, and graphic design.
Coordinate and direct efforts regarding the on-going development of content and graphic maintenance for the University’s website and social network.
Design and produce digital advertising, publications, and print media; provide support with writing and editing electronic and print content including photography and video.
Develop and maintain university brand consistent with brand standards; assist campus departments in cohesive brand implementation
Provide creative insight and direction as needed when consulting with staff, faculty and students on various projects.
Train and supervise designated employees, student employees, and interns.
Provide effective delegation, coordination, training, and technical assistance to department website and social media content managers.
Prepare and maintain records and reports of assigned activities, including production schedules, photographic and video library and budgetary expenditures.
Attend a variety of meetings including committee, and staff meetings as assigned; serve as a member of the Enrollment & Student Development Core Leadership Team, University’s Integrated Marketing Council, chair and coordinate website and social media content groups.
Maintain strong working relationships with key University marketing professionals including: Dean of Admission, Director of Admission Operations, Director of UG Admission, Senior Director of Public Affairs, Sports Information Director, and the Director of Technical and Physical Operations.
Operate and maintain equipment including a computer, digital camera, video camera, related peripheral equipment and related software applications.
Maintain clear communication with supervisor.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualification Requirements
Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Web Development, Journalism, English or related field with strong communication and writing skills, an understanding/familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, WordPress CMS, the major social media platforms, photography and video skills, Adobe Creative Cloud products, and a minimum three years of experience in related professional field.
Preferred Skills Planning, organization, and direction of website and social medial/digital efforts in a higher education setting.
