Normal, Illinois, Illinois State University, a NCAA Division I institution, member of the Missouri Valley Conference invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for Digital Marketing within the department of Athletics. This 12-month position includes a tuition waiver and a stipend of $1,742 per month. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for Illinois State’s Graduate School. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Day-to-day management of the athletic department flagship Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. •Manager of the athletic department mobile app including any integrations into the app. •Collaborate and contribute to social media campaigns with individual teams, coaches, and all administrative units to help tell an engaging and well-rounded story of the Athletics department. •Developing, scheduling, and implementing a social media calendar. •Track, report and utilize social media analytics. •Pitch and develop creative content ideas including short online articles highlight student-athletes, athletic department events, etc. •Keep a forward focus on trends and adapting, adopting, and recommending new technologies and emerging platforms that enhance the organizations touch points with fans and consumers. •Other duties as assigned. As a part of your responsibilities, you will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Missouri Valley Conference or the Missouri Valley Football conference, the Athletics Department and Illinois State University. Required qualifications include: •Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook •Degree seeking Graduate Student at Illinois State University Preferred qualifications include: •Experience working in an Intercollegiate Athletic Department •Experience with forms of new media including, but not limited to, website, social media, video and mobile; •Ability to communicate effectively with coaches, media, and athletics staff •Ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring critical thinking, multitasking, and organization skills •Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) •Basic video editing To assure full consideration, interested individuals MUST apply online at jobs.illinoisstate.edu Illinois State University is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
