Ref ID: 02710-0011737822 Classification: Director Compensation: DOE Summary: The Director of Technology is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the execution of technology department including directing staff who support administrative computing networking, user services, telecommunications, and other information technology functions. The Director of Technology Operations will have primary responsibility of creating and supervising a “customer service” focused IT department, serving and supporting the organizations staff. Job Responsibilities: • Create business value through technology. • Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies and procedures for the IT department and recommend IT goals for the organizations departments. • Ensure technology systems and procedures lead to outcomes in line with business goals. • Oversee the development of customer service platforms. • Manage IT and development team personnel. • Approve vendor negotiations and IT architecture. • Establish IT policies, strategies, risk management, and standards. • Develop and approve technology futures and budgets. • Act as a liaison between the technology group, division directors and executives. • Monitor and maintain a network infrastructure for local and wide area connectivity and remote access. • Develop and implement platforms to serve the organization data management and reporting needs. • In conjunction with others, meets to exchange information, present new approaches, recommend training opportunities, and to discuss equipment/system changes. Minimum of three years of experience in the information technology or related field. Supervisory experience required. Experience and knowledge of computer network design and maintenance. This position has supervisory responsibilities, and serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
