Columbia, South Carolina, Classification Title: Public Information Coordinator College/Division: College of Education Department: CED College of Education Advertised Salary Range: $42,979 – $60,000 Advertised Job Summary: This full-time position develops/leads the implementation of content marketing strategy to expand current audience and increase engagement among potential partners in our work and organizational learning, with an emphasis on K12 district leaders and institutions of higher education in SC. Success in this role requires a passion for storytelling that brings people and ideas together, insightful use of data to guide strategy, deep collaboration with internal and external teams, and strong project management capacity. This position is critical to fulfilling the intent of the $2 million dollar funding line from the state budget. Job responsibilities include: Create, launch and maintain content marketing strategy for SC- TEACHER and other external facing programs to build audience, engagement, and partnership development across P-20 education, with an emphasis on K12 district leaders and higher education. Maintain effective and collaborative relationships with the staff , partners and constituents in SC- TEACHER and other external facing programs. Create aligned content for, craft and execute plans for, and report on SC-TEACHER’s website, social media channels, and email campaigns. Identify and coach champions of SC-TEACHER’s work and organizational values, positioning them as thought leaders and demand generators for the work we do. Maintain libraries of photo and video content (including for use by designers, video editors, etc.).
