Boston, Massachusetts, Job Summary The Marketing Manager, Research & Innovation will support a dynamic marketing team across many research and innovation initiatives, ranging from content creation to the development of integrated multi-channel campaigns. They work closely with the Director of Brand & Content Strategy, internal clients, management, and teams in the Digital and Communication organizations to create and execute marketing plans that drive business outcomes. The Research Marketing Manager builds proficiency in all aspects of marketing, digital, and communications best practices. They lead the creation of a marketing plan and support the execution of deliverables defined in that plan, including competitive analysis, content development, launch readiness/announcements, digital marketing, collateral (e.g., online/offline brochures), advertising, and strategic initiatives. This Marketing Manager, Research & Innovation will: Bring a customer-oriented approach, an aptitude and an outside-in perspective to building and measuring a marketing plan. Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape, assigned customer segments and clinical issues through research, competitive analysis, market segmentation etc. work with their manager and the assigned research team member. Maintain knowledge of the combination of conditions and services in order to develop positioning and value propositions that sets BCH apart from the competition. Work with the Digital and Communication teams, support production of deliverables aligned with stakeholder priorities and tactics by creating marketing briefs, and plan timelines. Take initiative to stay on top of, understand and influence the use of innovations and best practices in marketing to improve campaign development and effectiveness. Support teams by reviewing and incorporating results of competitive analyses and by participating in developing campaign messaging and materials to target existing markets and shape new ones. Participate in conducting competitive analyses, research and market segmentation. Assist with reporting as required for campaign planning and analysis and for presentations to stakeholders. Support the annual planning and goal setting process, conducting the appropriate business analytics, competitive, campaign and audience analysis as well as identifying and recommending the appropriate metrics for success. Identify synergies between service lines and markets to help drive efficiencies and consistency of messaging and brand. Manage budgets, status reports and dashboards for areas of responsibility which includes estimation and timing of deliverables, and ROI. To qualify, you must have: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a closely related field and a min of 4 years’ experience building and executing digital and multichannel lead generation and/or brand campaigns required. Healthcare, digital, or high tech marketing preferred Creative ability to translate clinical value propositions, messaging and content into an effective integrated online and offline results-driven campaigns. Understanding of visual design tools to oversee development and design process of campaign materials. Thorough knowledge of digital design tools, web analytics (Google Analytics, Web Trends, etc.) and Google AdWords, and content management tools (i.e., Brandmaker).
