You should love building massively scalable and redundant SaaS platforms. You will help to architect and lead the team on the backend systems that power one of our most used GPS based mapping systems.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in building complex web applications (no particular language required) but heavy preference for the most recent five years in in Python

Ideal candidates should have strong experience in these areas

  • Staff or Architect level experience in Python / Django
  • Celery
  • Postgres Database
  • Strong DevOps familiarity
  • CI/CD
  • Docker and containerization
  • RESTful APIs
  • Low/No Ego and desire to just dig in!

Bonus points for

  • Application performance monitoring
  • Ability to manage multi-stack environs
  • Geospatial background or Mapping experience
  • Google maps API
  • Some exposure to GraphQL
  • Desire to help fellow adventurers in overland expeditions, backpacking, backcountry skiing or similar areas of interest
  • Experience with iOS and Android applications
  • Data synchronization to mobile platforms in low broadband/ low connectivity areas
  • Datadog exposure
  • Distributed tracing
