The Resorts Revenue Planning and Forecasting team develops long term revenue plans, evaluates proposed strategic initiatives, and forecasts business performance for the current fiscal year. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who will develop unbiased, holistic business insights and clearly articulate recommendations to help drive revenue growth and improve the Guest experience. The ideal candidate should be a solution oriented self-starter with superior analytical skills, who can leverage a highly complex data set and extract key learning.


The Revenue Planning and Forecasting team leverages deep understanding of Guest demographics and behaviors to support the strategic direction and key projects of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. This role supports forecasting related processes for developing monthly forecasts and data-driven insights for WDW Resorts room volume and revenue. A qualified candidate will have a natural curiosity to proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate business performance using data-driven insights. Responsibilities include delivering Guest-driven analytics, data mining/visualization, and partnering with key business teams.

Analytics and Measurement

  • Support development of short-term operations forecast, long-term monthly forecasts and annual operating plan
  • Develop deep understanding of Guest demographics, behavior, purchasing, and booking patterns to deliver insights and make improvements in predictive planning and forecasting models
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to identify, evaluate, and communicate business trends and key metrics
  • Analyze large data sets by leveraging SAS, SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects

Insights and Strategic Decision Making

  • Translate business performance drivers and metrics into insightful analyses and recommendations
  • Partner with stakeholders across various functional teams such as Pricing, Finance, Operations, Yield Management, etc. to influence decision-making
  • Understand and evaluate new business initiatives to provide strategic direction for the business

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of statistical or financial analysis and/or strategy development experience
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills in financial forecasting and statistical analysis and strong communication skills in developing fact-based insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrated technical ability to leverage data using spreadsheets and databases and open to learning new visualization and statistical analysis software
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a positive demeanor under tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts forecasting and planning processes
  • Expert in Excel with working knowledge of VBA
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAS, Teradata, SQL, Tableau, and Business Objects

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or other quantitative field

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent
