This position is responsible for the complete General Ledger Accounting and Reporting including but not limited to closing the books on a monthly basis, balance sheet, P&L and cash flow preparation and reporting, maintaining an effective chart of accounts and general ledger to meet the needs of a growing business. This person is a performance driven individual who can work independently and understands financial information, transactional accounting and internal controls and who will ensure that financial activities are aligned with Company goals and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities Preparation of financial statements Analysis of product line gross margin Analysis of sub-ledgers Complete balance sheet and P&L general ledger account reconciliations Preparation of budgets by department and monthly reporting on actuals vs budget Monthly forecasting Work with the year – end audit adhering to strict deadlines Maintain accurate perpetual inventory and of inventory reserve analysis Completion of bank covenant calculations Monthly KPI and reporting package distribution to management team Sales & Use tax returns and filings Other analytical reporting as required Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required 5 – 8 years of experience in a comparable corporate accounting role Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Technically strong with a high level of financial accounting and systems experience Fully conversant with US GAAP Confident individual with strong communication skills at all levels and across all disciplines Experience with Quickbooks Must have systems proficiency in Excel and general accounting and reporting software Experience working with external auditors
