Highly experienced Python developer required to implement core algorithmic components of a new simulation product. You will join a small but growing agile team and will work with data scientists and architects to undertake rapid prototyping in both back-end and front-end technologies.
- Contract position
- Project duration: estimated up to 2+ years
- FULLY REMOTE from anywhere (yet available during UK day time)
- Rate: very competitive

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementation of core algorithms in a GCP environment –
- Advising the architecture team on implementation best practices –
- Working with Unity game developers to deliver optimal solutions to real-time simulation problems
- Participating in code reviews
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
- Significant Python 3.x experience (writing Object Oriented Python code)
- Data science exposure
- Desirable: Experience of game or simulation development for AR/VR
- Desirable: Understanding of geospatial data (Openstreetmaps, Mapbox etc)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Python web frameworks
- NumPy
- C#
- Unity 3D
- Docker
- Kubenetes
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines
- Significant experience using Jira/Confluence or similar tools as part of an Agile process
