NJVC,LLC Company Job Title: Software Engineer II Clearance: TS/SCI Location: St. Louis, MO Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular Summary: The Software Engineer II appliesfundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technicalassignments. Leveraging this level of skill, the Software Engineer shall research,design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, andnetwork distribution software for medical, industrial, military,communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computingapplications. Duties andResponsibilities: Utilizewell defined software processes, such as Agile, to work in a rapid developmentenvironment as part of a development team. Design,code and unit test front and back end solutions for integrated Geospatialsystems using packages such as in HTML, CSS, C , C#, Java and JavaScript.Develop integration code to connect and interface Geospatial systems andservices. Developsolutions that utilize open standards and ICDs to promote interoperabilitythrough service based architectures. Supportthe development and configuration of database systems. Analyze, fix, anddocument DRs on geospatial systems. Workwith systems engineering and test teams to understand and develop solutionsthat address program requirements. Assistin software design and architecture decisions. Documentdesign artifacts in architecture software, including class and sequencediagrams. Updateand document knowledge and best practices in common repositories such asConfluence Wiki. Participatein agile scrum teams through the agile process. Workwith systems engineering and management to establish user stories and closurecriteria. Participatein the software feature and story estimations using standard softwareestimation tools and practices. Supportprogram reviews and milestones including FATs, SATs, and IV&Vs. Contributeto and maintain a continuous integration environment. Setoperational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements Maydesign embedded systems software Applyprinciples and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematicalanalysis Otherduties as assigned MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technicaldiscipline and 5 years of relevant experience or Associate’s Degree and 8 yearsrelevant experience Active TS/SCI Clearance required Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities: Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues. Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
