Our Mobile App QA Engineers help to deliver increasingly smarter mobile apps to our customers. We are looking for someone with Android and/or iOS Software Development skills, strong interests in all things mobile, and a passion for delivering high quality, rock-solid apps. Works closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Creative, and UX team members to ensure compliance with project needs. Your role in this will be centered on quality assurance for mobile apps to ensure that business outcomes and customer experiences are validated and achieved. Additionally, you will pursue automated testing where possible using App Center, BrowserStack, or similar automation tools, advocate for standard development methodologies, and participate in an inclusive, energetic and highly cross-functional team. The Digital QA Engineer role encompasses testing mobile apps to ensure products are meeting exit criteria with high quality. The position may require some amount of travel, but it is currently 100% remote at this time. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Experience within iOS SDK, Xcode IDE, Swift, Objective-C and/or experience with Android Mobile SDK, Android Studio, Eclipse, Android Emulator Develop unit testing automation for iOS or Android mobile apps Assumes responsibility for developing QA scripts and has experience using tools such as Browser Stack and Azure App Center Participate in SCRUM, Kanban or Agile development environment Good working knowledge of mobile development environment. Solid debugging and problem-solving skills; participate in peer code reviews Qualifications POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Minimum: Minimum of 2 years of experience testing mobile applications for iOS and/or Android phones and tablets or relevant QA experiences with other software Good understanding of Native and Hybrid mobile application technologies and automated testing frameworks Experience with one or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, Swift, Objective-C, iOS SDKs, Cocoa, C, C++, C#, Xamarin , REST/JSON, SOAP/XML Some familiarity with microservices, cloud platforms and ability to integrate with other systems through web services. Ability to work in dynamic, often ambiguous conditions requiring rapid transitions between collaborative and individual work Strong problem solving and analysis ability Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) Ability to work with remote project teams Experience working with SCRUM, Kanban or Agile development environments Preferred: Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing Azure DevOps experience or similar tool for test script writing, execution and reporting Demonstrated understanding of what makes good software design, a deeper understanding of programming languages, and an ability to solve engineering problems of increasing difficulty. Shows initiative beyond pure implementation.
