Under general direction of the Senior Manager, Forecasting and Analytics, this role provides finance support to many key initiatives within Strategic Global Sourcing. This role requires collaboration across various ABC business units by providing relevant accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, trend and data analytics related to pharmaceutical distribution. The Senior Financial Analyst reports directly to the Senior Manager and provides all aspects of finance support to the projects. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides analytical support and forecasting profit and loss and variance analysis for ABC’s private label generic pharmaceutical business. Support the financial reporting activities related to intercompany transactions for ABC’s private label generic pharmaceutical business and assures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls and procedures. Utilize existing data analytical tools/create tools to perform detailed analysis that measure branded and generic pharmaceutical product trends to assist management in planning, strategic initiatives, business development, and contract negotiations. Forecast sales and profits relating to Generic New Product Launches (NPLs), perform market research, collaborate with sourcing teams and gather internal financial data to assess the financial impact. Use financial databases to create profit and loss statements for management reporting purposes. Perform detailed procedures and adhere to monthly timelines. Create summary reports and presentations of findings. Compiles, organizes, reviews, analyzes financial data from various sources, such as SAP Business Objects, EAP, Microsoft Excel, etc. Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations. Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires one (1) to two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
