We have the unique role to partner with NASA at Johnson Space Center (JSC), to be part of every human spaceflight program – the International Space Station (ISS), NASA’s Orion spacecraft, which will transport astronauts into deep space, the orbiting platform providing the home for astronauts to work and travel back and forth to the moon’s surface, and serving as the platform for deep space exploration. From systems on the ISS to help astronauts live and work in space; to performing advanced development for systems supporting deep space exploration; to being part of the foundation for Gateway. We also partner with NASA at JSC, the only NASA center in the United States to curate all astromaterial samples returned from exploration missions, to perform curation services, orbital debris analysis, and basic research to further humankind’s understanding of the origins of our solar system. We are looking for a Logistics Supportability Analyst to join our team with HX5 , a JETS Teammate company. Do you have the following skills? The selected applicant will: Perform project support functions throughout the lifecycle of EVA spacesuit development, procurement, manufacture, and test. Support planning and implementation of procurements of hardware necessary for assembly and integration. Develop, review, and update essential documentation for the assigned subsystem including plans and procedures. Provide direction and/or coordination with xEMU team members during all phases of development and delivery. Perform Logistics support analyses that include: Hardware maintenance plans and requirements On-orbit and ground processing plans and requirements Life-cycle / total ownership cost assessments Spares analysis Logistics planning trade studies Review hardware reliability data to identify all forms of failure profiles. Compile predictions and estimates for logistical planning. Perform other tasks assigned. BS degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of related experience, or a MS degree and four (4) years of related experience, or Ph.D. from an accredited college or university. Experience with space suits, life support system hardware, or NASA hardware. A thorough understanding of strategic maintenance and logistics/supportability analysis. Experience with modeling tools used to perform trade studies. Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work in an enthusiastic, adaptable team environment. Technical and/or statistical background with excellent critical thinking capability. Ability to interact with senior personnel and external customers in a professional and ethical manner. Requisition Preferences: Significant experience with logistics planning and analysis tasks.
