VMware CFE Engineering team is building an industry leading SaaS commerce platform at cloud scale. This platform will be horizontally scalable, highly available, and will cater to current and future SaaS product go to market strategies. What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for? How do you design and handle commerce transactions at high scale when you know that none of the “textbook solutions” will work? We are looking for someone who would be interested in staying ahead of technology and strive to learn latest cloud technologies. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will design, implement and own key microservices for SaaS commerce platform. Come and help make history as we change the way an enterprise pivots to Subscription and SaaS. Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? · You will design and implement critical microservices for the commerce platform. · You will own a component of product and ensure its production readiness. · You will be working on cutting edge cloud technologies. What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? · Spend time on the REST APIs designing, implement and integrate with ERP applications & Web based custom portals. Our team writes code using Java, Spring Boot, Sql, deploying using containerization. · Ensure KPIs are defined (the up time and SLA) for domain APIs and are maintained to provide high availability of 99.99%. · This role will enable you to work with multiple stockholders – Product Manager and Biz Ops, Tech Lead, and other teams in our organization on planning upcoming work and formalizing proposals related to multiple competing priorities and align to leadership direction. · Your highest priority will be to ensure our day to day transactions are going through seamlessly from our customer facing portals complimenting to provide best customer experience. · Apart from the above, you will be contributing on various other initiatives like – Sales quarter closure, mentoring the junior resources, innovation (Vmware on Vmware) and proposal on the new tech stack to scale up our business etc. What is the leadership like for this role?
